The team here feels like family, and celebrating the festival with them, even while working, makes it all the more memorable. Yes, I’m going to Delhi for two days to be with my family, and I’m very excited about it! It’ll be wonderful to finally celebrate with them. On set, I’ll also celebrate with my co-stars, team, crew, many of whom won’t be able to go home, so we’ll create some Diwali magic together,” she says.
Amandeep Sidhu on best Diwali memories
Talking about her best memories over there, she says, “Some of my best Diwali memories are from childhood, when my entire family would gather, and we’d decorate the house with diyas, make rangolis, and share sweets. The joy of being with loved ones and lighting up the house was unmatched. I also remember the excitement of wearing new clothes and bursting crackers, though now I prefer eco-friendly celebrations.”
Amandeep Sidhu on outfits
Talking about outfits, she says. “On the set, we often wear traditional outfits for festive sequences, and I love getting into the festive spirit through my characters. This year, for my real-life Diwali celebration, I’m planning to wear a beautiful salwar suit that’s both elegant and comfortable. Comfort is key for me, especially when I’m spending time with family and friends.”
Sharing her favourite Diwali sequence memories on the set, she says, “Shooting Diwali sequences has always been fun because the sets are so beautifully decorated, and there’s always this lively, festive vibe around. I remember one particular sequence where we had to light diyas and burst sparklers, and even though it was part of the script, it felt like we were genuinely celebrating. The festive ambience on set always adds an extra spark!”

Whether it’s with family, friends, or my team on set, the joy of being surrounded by loved ones, and sharing laughter, food, and light, is what Diwali is all about for me. The happiness of spreading love and positivity during this festive season truly lifts my spirits.”
